Announcement regarding Rumah Pelajar Malaysia

MSAJ would like to remind again that, Rumah Pelajar Malaysia (RPM) is a facility for Malaysian students CURRENTLY STUDYING IN JAPAN ONLY.
RPM is currently in the process of hiring new manager for 2012-2013 term. Therefore, for the time being any inquiries will not be entertained.
Inquiries from Malaysian students studying in Japan that would like to use the facility will have to be held off as well. We will announce it once RPM is available again.
Inquiries from fellow Malaysian students or education organizations coming over to Japan will not be entertained until further notice.
For fellow Malaysians who're planning to come over for traveling/vacation purpose, MSAJ is currently drafting plans to introduce tourism in Japan section, including recommendation for affordable accommodation and tour guides. However, we are still in initial planning stage and it may take some time before we can eventually announce it to the public.
MSAJ apologize for any inconveniences caused.

Pre-Nominations

Pre-nominations are opened from now till midnight of 2400 hours of Saturday 21st January 2012. For online submission, please use the 'Pre-nomination Form' and submit to 'Awadh Asyraf (presiden_kanto@msaj.net). For offline submissions, please hand in your nomination using 'Nomination Form' given below before 1400 hours of AGM MSAJ Kanto 2012.
Each candidate must be nominated by one MSAJ member who is an undergraduate or postgraduate student as of January 2012. Nomination is to be seconded by another Malaysian student studying in Japan for equivalent or more than 6 months. Self-nominations are allowed but must be seconded by a different student individual.
Each candidate and his/her supporter must attend AGM MSAJ 2012. The second supporter is not obliged to attend.
Pre-nominated candidates are allowed to prepare a speech for 1 minute with or without a slideshow (.pdf format) not more than 2 pages. Candidates MUST send their campaign speech and slideshow to 'Awadh Asyraf (presiden_kanto@msaj.net) by 2400 hours Saturday 21st Jan 2012.
Please read 'Posts for Executive Committee Members (AGM MSAJ Kanto 2012)' to understand requirements for each post available for election.
Nominations should comply and be made using the form given below. MSAJ has the rights to revoke any nomination which fails to comply.

Pengenalan
Rumah Pelajar Malaysia yang terletak di Nishikoyama, Tokyo diwujudkan untuk memberi kemudahan penggunaan kepada persatuan-persatuan pelajar Malaysia dan penginapan sementara bagi pelajar Malaysia di Jepun. Pentadbiran harian rumah ini diletakkan di bawah tanggungjawab Pengurus Rumah yang dipilih dan dilantik oleh Badan Pengurusan Rumah Pelajar Malaysia (BPRPM). BPRPM terdiri daripada Penasihat Pendidikan & Latihan, Kedutaan Besar Malaysia, wakil MSAJ dan wakil KUJ.

Pengurus Rumah sesi 2011 akan tamat perkhidmatan pada Mac 2012. Sehubungan itu, BPRPM sedang mencari pelajar Malaysia di Jepun yang berminat untuk memohon jawatan sebagai Pengurus Rumah.

Tugas dan tanggungjawab Pengurus Rumah ialah:
1. Menguruskan tempahan penggunaan/penginapan;
2. Menguruskan bayaran utiliti;
3. Menjaga serta memastikan RPM berada di dalam keadaan bersih dan selamat. Sebarang kerosakan perlu dilapor kepada BPRPM dalam tempoh tiga hari kerosakan diketahui;
4. Menyediakan Laporan Bulanan yang mengandungi laporan kewangan, penggunaan dan inventori. Laporan Bulanan perlu dikemuka kepada BPRPM tidak lewat daripada 10 haribulan pada setiap bulan;

Tempoh perkhidmatan Pengurus Rumah ialah selama satu tahun dan perlu menetap sepenuh masa di RPM sepanjang tempoh perkhidmatan tanpa bayaran sewa rumah.

Perkhidmatan Pengurus Rumah boleh ditamatkan dengan 1 bulan notis sekiranya didapati tidak menjalankan tanggungjawab / peraturan yang ditetapkan.

Syarat-Syarat Permohonan
1. Warganegara Malaysia;
2. Bujang;
3. Sedang menuntut di institusi pengajian tinggi di Jepun;
4. Mempunyai rekod akademik yang baik; dan
5. Bebas daripada masalah disiplin.

Kaedah Dan Tarikh Tutup Permohonan
Pelajar yang berminat perlu menghantar permohonan yang mengandungi dokumen berikut:
1. Resume lengkap;
2. Keputusan peperiksaan terkini; dan
3. Jadual pengajian bagi sesi 2012/2013.

Permohonan yang lengkap perlu dihantar kepada En. Muhammad Annizam bin Mohd Mohtar (annizam@hrdtokyo.jp) selewat-lewatnya pada 22 Januari 2012.

“Sustainability & Its Challenges In ASEAN Development”

The ASEAN-Japan Academic Forum aims at providing a platform to promote young ASEAN researchers in Japan, as well as Japanese researchers doing research related to the 10 ASEAN countries. The Forum also hopes to create further opportunities for greater cooperation between ASEAN and Japanese researchers, through the sharing of knowledge and expertise. Organised by the ASEAN Youth Network in Japan (AYNJ), this pioneer project aspires to advance research in ASEAN, and the furtherance of ASEAN young researchers themselves.

For decades, the members of ASEAN have faced various challenges on development and sustainability, especially with regard to economy, education, environment, good governance, health and security, and technology. They had struggled to fight corruption, inequality, and poverty and had sought and tested measures that will alleviate the crises and lead the South East Asian countries to development. However, recent events have proved that matters on development and sustainability do not only concern the developing countries but also the developed ones like Japan. Natural disasters, aging population, and a stagnant economy are just some of the factors that could crash a strong nation down.

In this year’s ASEAN-Japan Academic Forum, issues on development and its sustainability will be tackled in different fields and perspectives. We are opening our table to those who are interested in sharing their knowledge on topics that include, but are not limited to: Business Management, Cultures, Economy, Education, Engineering, Environment, Humanities & Social Sciences, Languages, Medicine & Healthcare, Science & Technology, Tourism.

Alhamdulilah syukur nikmat kepada ilahi, event AGM hokuriku 2011 telah pun berjaya diadakan. Kehadiran cukup memberansangkan berbanding tahun-tahun sebelum ini. Diharapkan kehadiran para pelajar bahagian Hokuriku 2011 dapat di-maintain-kan dan terus mendapat sokongan dan kerjasama yang jitu dari para pelajar.

Event ini telah dijalankan pada 3-12-2011 ini, dijalankan di Fukui Palace hotel, Fukui-ken. Event ini bermula pada tepat jam 12 tengahari, yang dimulakan dengan ucapan-ucapan dari President MSAJ hokuriku 2011 dan juga President Fukui selaku tuan rumah program AGM hokuriku 2011 pada kali ini. Program AGM ini diakhiri dengan pertandingan bowling antara prefecture - perfecture bahagian Hokuriku.

Untuk pertandingan rekacipta design baju pula telah pun diambil undiannya daripada setiap pelajar yang telah pun hadir pada program ini. Keputusan untuk pemenang pertandingan ini akan diumumkan pada akhir pertandingan bowling.

Annual Gathering Meeting atau lebih mudah dikenali sebagai AGM pada kali ini akan diadakan di FUKUI-ken, Japan. Registration for futsal is now closed.
￥6,000 per team (limited to first 16 teams)

Futsal

Open to Malaysians.
All teams are to have maximum of 8 players (including 3 reserved)
Each games will be played for 15 minutes (7 minutes game + 1 minutes rest + 7 minutes game).
Participants are allowed to be involved in Futsal and Bowling which will be held on the same day BUT not allowed to play in two different teams in the same game.
The organizers will not be responsible if the games (Futsal and Bowling) are held at the same time.
The player in two teams will be disqualified but the team is allowed to continue the game.
Teams playing should be on the court ONE minute before the game start.
Teams are late for 3 minutes will be disqualified.
Each teams are need to represent one referre .
16 teams will be divided into 4 teams and each team will be playing 3 games at GROUP STAGE.The Top 2 of the Group will move on to the KNOCKOUT GROUP(upper group). The Lower 2 of the Group will move on to the KNOCKOUT GROUP(lower group).
The Groups will be decided by lucky draw which will be put on homepages of MSAJ (latest 1 day before the games).
The decisions on the games are final.
If there are any changes, changes will be put on MSAJ homepage and players will NOT be contacted.

Bowling

Open to Malaysians.
A team has to have FOUR players.
Each games will be playing 5 games and the winner will be decided through the total of 5 games.

If there are any changes, changes will be put on MSAJ homepage and players will NOT be contacted.

Eating places.
There are a few restaurants such as Jonathan and Italian Tomato, Bento shops, Soba/Udon and others near the venue. There are also convenience stores near the station. Lunch will NOT be prepared. Players and supporters are advised to have lunch before the games, to make sure the games are played according to schedule. Dinner will be provided after at the event for players and supporters but players will be prioritized.

Praying room.
Boys are allowed to pray at the sides of futsal courts on 8th floor or at the meeting room on the 4th floor. Girls are allowed to pray at the meeting room on the 4th floor. There are toilets next to the meeting room. There are also shower room on the 8th floor. Please refer to organizers in-charged during the event.
